SC / ST Cell
Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) are known as the most backword classes of the Indian society. They include all the races or tribes, castes, which have been socially, economically and educationally backword. This cell has been established to bring and support students form such communities in the main stream.
Objectives
- To ensure provisions of an environment where all such students feel safe and secure.
- To counsel and guide SC/ST students and help them to manage academic and personal issues of college life effectively.
- To ensure protection and reservation as provided in the constitution of India.
- To provide mechanisms for redressal of grievances of SC/ST students, if any.
- To aware the SC/ST students regarding various scholarships programme of state govt. and UGC.
- To aware ST/ST students about various scholarships of State Govt., UGC, various Govt. and Non-government units. Also, to try to get scholarships for students.
- To communicate with the students and motivate them for better future planning.
